KLI CAPITAL - BUSINESS AQUISITIONS
  Acquistion Criteria

While we are prepared to look at any viable business for sale, the following criteria should be present for us to consider investing in the business for our own account:

  • it must be an established business which has earned in excess of R2 million p.a. pre-tax for the last 2 years.
  • the business should have the prospect of earning at least R2 million for the next year
  • we should be able to achieve a return on our investment of at least 25% p.a. pre-tax.
  • the business must be management run, with current management willing to stay on, or it must be capable of being management run.
  • there should be fixed and current assets representing at least 50% of the purchase price
  • proper books of account and financial statements must have been kept for the business - we are not interested where two sets of books have been kept, or where there has been potential income tax evasion.

Should any of the above criteria not be present, we may still be interested in looking at the business, but the likelihood of us investing in the business ourselves is very small - we may, however, have knowledge of someone looking for such a business, so please contact us anyway.
